It went down from a five to four stars because they should’ve just communicated their feelings, and just everything especially in book two. Lila couldn’t even communicate her feelings to Riley when she asked why Lila keeps walking away. Also she ran away so much and never gave Maddox a chance to explain both situations, like girl? 

The ending of the first book had me screaming because what the heck happened, the ending of the first book had me hooked again. I love Riley and Colton and hated how we didn’t get a full ending to what happened to them.(they actually might have said but I was probably already just swiping through so oops). I love how the prologues soon go into the chapters, like ma’am, gold star for you

  • When she said baby while she was trying to calm him down from his panic attack 
  • “I can tell you about the part where I broke her nose and choked her.” “Atta girl,” he praised out loud.”
  • “Similar to how Lila was my favorite drug of choice, sweet and so fucking addictive.”
  • “Lila was truly and honestly my…friend.”
