Hotel Queens by Lee Winter

4.0

This book felt a bit like home, maybe a bit too familiar, but surprisingly I like it. What I mean when I say „too familiar“ is that I grew up in a hotel, well more or less. The scenery in this book, while not being exactly the kind of hotel I grew up in (in my case it was just one and not successful the way this one is), is known territory to me, in the good sense of the word.
And then it‘s also sapphic? Yes please.
The dynamic between the two rivaling women is so very interesting and most of the time it did not even feel much like a rivalry because Amelia treats Kai with respect and fairness when she finds out who the other woman is, regardless of her own interests. That may not seem logical but this respect for one another makes the story and their love even more beautiful. And the story itself, their love story as well as everything else that is going on drew me in so completely. (I'm playing with the thought of giving this book a rating of 4.5/5, for right now it's 4 though)
