Smoke and Scar is easily one of my favorite fantasy/romantasy reads of the year. The characters are loveable, the magic system is easy to understand, the world building is wonderful, and I'm a sucker for high-stakes trials. The story is original and the ending was unpredictable. I am so excited to continue reading this series!
