I did love to be able to get it from the Dom's POV but what I didn't really care for was it felt like it was the same book too much and I understand that it is the first book again in his POV but there only felt like a few moments that were different. I found myself skimming through a lot of it. I wanted to like it more than I ended up liking it which kind of sucked.
I did like getting some parts I was wondering "I wonder what is going on in his head" that I was able to get that. One of those parts was the candy bar part. I was also wondering what had happened between him and Tom. I mean we find out in the first book but I wanted to know exactly what was said. Another thing that I did like was the fact that we were able to know right off hand why he was the way he was with her. Once again we find this out in the first book but we know what he was thinking when he got the applications now because we got to see that part as well.
I am not usually a big fan of one book done in one POV then in another. It just feels too similar and like I had said above I find myself skimming through a lot of it because I remember what happened from the first book. I'm sure if maybe I had waited a year for this one but since I read it right when I finished the first I felt like it was repatitious. But if I waited a year it would probably have been a refresher on what had happened.
I am looking forward to the last book in the trilogy though. I want to see how he is when he is in true Dom form. We get to see parts of it in this and the first book but he seems to be holding back a little.
We will see where things go from here. :)
