OK for counting, the kids like the pictures and it's good to have the words in both languages.
I suppose the book is OK in English. The Portuguese tranlsation is awful though, really bad, it's a shame, because it wouldn't take too much to have a pretty nice book. I'd suggest a translation improvement and re-edition.
