Beneath the Stars
by Ellie McLove, Emily McIntire
Loveable characters:
No
Flaws of characters a main focus:
Yes
This book talks about some great thematics like how addiction can affect close relatives and grief and I could understand why people enjoyed it.
But it wasn’t for me. I had a really hard time to get in the story. The first part really wasn’t for me though the second one a bit better. It’s just that I couldn’t connect with the main characters. I also thought that some parts of the story between Alina and Chase have been resolved too quickly, without a good explanation or discussion.
I still read it until the end, wanting to see what would happen. I guess it’s just not a book meant for me
