I love these books so much!! I thought that the premise would be odd (all the Austen characters together solving murders) but gave it a chance on the first book and loved it. I truly love Jonathan Darcy as being on the spectrum, he’s a wonderful character and relatable to me. I like that she didn’t make him COMPLETELY inept at reading emotions and social cues as people who sometimes write autistic characters do (not that I don’t like those representations it just tends to be the main way it’s represented). Also I liked how she wrote in the experience of conscious autistic masking (and how it can fail) that a lot of us are constantly doing to reduce stigma from others.
