What a beautiful and heartbreaking debut story from Alise Monroe!  If you like a second chance romance with childhood friends, you will love this one!  Normally I don't love dual timelines, but I really enjoyed the use of it in this case.  Along with the dual POV, it gave us so much insight into Thea and Cary's relationship and really fleshed out their characters.  These two were meant to be, even if life did their best to pull them apart.  Seeing their journey over the years felt authentic and earned and I was so invested in their story.  Their chemistry was off the charts and definitely left me wanting more! The ending felt a touch rushed to me, but as it's the beginning of a series, I'm hoping to see more of it fleshed out in future books.  Kudos on a fantastic debut novel!
