My mother introduced me to this book and its predecessor. I personally LOVE this book. It’s my favorite book of all time. Justin is cunning and clever, and so seemingly unredeemable, but his need to protect young Leonie wins over his thirst for revenge, which was, to me, the hook that shows you his more sordid character if you haven’t read the black moth, which I highly recommend doing before you read this. It fleshes out this story so much better.
