All-New Wolverine by Tom Taylor Omnibus by Tom Taylor

5.0

Logan might be gone but The Wolverine will never die. X-23 is here and she's more than willing to prove that Wolverines are the best at what they do, and most of the time what they do isn't very nice.

If Marvel had given any other writer this project, I don't think it would have been as successful as it is now. It takes someone like Mr. Tom Taylor to take one of the most traumatized characters in Marvel comics and flesh them out into a real character, who possesses believable emotions and undergoes stable growth. He uses the groundwork laid out by the X-23 runs, to help Laura finally develop an identity beyond being a living weapon. Through this we see as she truly finds her place, surrounded by people who actually love her; and it's thanks to them that she can finally let herself, love. In this run we see Laura conquering the old X-23 persona to finally become The Wolverine. But I think the most important thing is that we finally get to see Laura Kinney, a real and full person.
