A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens

5.0

This was an incredible story about the French revolution. Dickens has a way of capturing the despair, depravity, and poverty of the times while still creating noble and good characters. This book makes me so grateful to live now and here rather than in England or France in the late 18th century.

Rated PG-13 for violence. I found some of the descriptions of graphic and disturbing. This book deals a lot with violence/mistreatment of peasants by aristocrats and then with violence of the revolutionists against the aristocracy.
