Homeland Calling: Words from a New Generation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voices by Desert Pea Media, Ellen van Neerven

3.0

Kind of a strange book, all things considered. I thought it was a poetry collection but it's actually a collection of lyrics from contemporary rap/hip-hop groups from the Aboriginal communities of Australia/Oceania.
Really fun, really interesting, and a perspective I've never gotten before of what the specific conditions of life under the legacies of colonialism in the region.
