🎧 Narrator: Alex McKenna 🎧

I had still not read anything by Holly Jackson so figured her new release was a good place to start! I was not expecting the amount of depth that this thriller held within its pages.

Jet Mason has about seven days to solve her own murder. After a grisly attack on Halloween night she is left with a brain injury that is a ticking time bomb.

Now based on this premise alone you know there is some suspension of disbelief required. Usually I am not into unrealistic plots, and there were moments, but overall this one worked. And the reason for that is the amount of heart that was mixed in.

I was fully unprepared for the amount of emotion I would feel reading this book! I can’t say much more without risking spoilers but dang Holly Jackson you had me in my feels on more than one occasion!

My only critique really is that I feel like this could have been edited down a smidge. It felt long at points and like things needed to pick up speed. But regardless I thoroughly enjoyed this one.

🎧 Alex McKenna did a fantastic job with the narration here. I am so glad to have experienced this one via audio!
