Oh we’re back in Rome and it feels so good!
Sarah Adams is easily an autobuy author, topping my favourites and is the kind of author that when her book arrives, you drop everything and immediately pick hers up.
Annie Walker wants to find her person, the one who will complete her life, but when a date calls her boring, she starts to wonder if she’s the problem. Will Griffin is a sexy tattooed security agent and is back to protect Amelia Rose. He plans on staying away from Annie and any attachments to the quiet town of Rome, well until he’s enlisted to help Annie with her dating life. There’s some practice dates that are strictly educational only, but the lines start to blur as their friendship grows…
Oh honestly this book is EVERYTHING! It’s got fake (or practice) dating, friends to lovers, bodyguard romance, opposites attract, small town romance, dual POV, and just the most incredible characters.
You fall in love with Annie and Will just as much as you fall in love with Rome itself (unless you’ve already read When in Rome and you’re already in love with the place like me). The sexual tension, the humour, the pirate romance, the banana pjs, the way he takes care of her. I mean alllllll of it 😍 Will has easily made his way to the top of my book boyfriends list!
I already want to reread it and want to go back to Rome, Kentucky. I will now be patiently (well trying to be) waiting for our next Rome instalment and to see what Sarah Adams does next!
