Dead to the World
by Charlaine Harris
I didn't care for the book prior to this one, but Dead to the World was a great read. There weren't as many proofreader mistakes, and Charlaine Harris actually didn't repeat herself as much as she had in the previous novels. She did of course repeat stuff, but it was more tolerable.
I really liked this one, and I hope Dead as a Doornail is just as good. In Dead to the World, Bill isn't around as much because he went off to Peru. I liked this, because Bill aggravates me. When he finally does show up, I actually liked him quite a bit (he only had a couple lines, though). This book is mostly about Sookie and a much, much different Eric - because Eric has lost his memory due to a spell a vindictive witch cast on him. We learn about fairies and witches, and quite a bit more about Weres and shifters.
Debbie Pelt FINALLY gets what was coming to her all along, and the ending was pretty bitter sweet. Jason went missing, and eventually turns up at the end and could possibly be a shifter now. Pretty interesting!
