This book was fantastic and I would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys reading thought-provoking and almost brutally sincere stories.

I went in to this book expecting, well, honestly, not a whole lot. I figured it would be just an 'okay' story about some guy, struggling against himself, and losing; typical and boring. However, the writing style -which can be a bit difficult to adjust to at first- adds to the journey and heartbreak just as much as the actual words on the pages; it transforms the story into more than what it is.

Unlike many of the books that I have read, this one makes you feel for the character, especially towards the end -without getting into spoilers- where the most infuriating and terrifying struggles happen. I did not cry at the end of this book, but I felt uneasy, heartbroken, but a little happy that the main character got to experience life the way that he did.

It is absolutely worth the time to read it!
