Lips Touch: Three Times by Laini Taylor
5.0

Horrible title. Horrible cover art. BUT the stories inside are just- I have no words. Well, actually yes, I do. See, down there? More words. So I lied. I apologize for that.

There are three individual stories that are told in this book. One, you might say, reflects on the dangers of goblin fruit (As anyone who's seen Labyrinth could tell you... you might even end up in a David Bowie music video), another descends into a version of hell that most of us are unfamiliar with, and the bargains that are struck there daily.

Bittersweet, wild and untamed fairy tales, each hinges on a fatal moment when LIPS TOUCH. But not like, in a "person eats pickled pigs lips, yes those are an actual thing that people eat, so technically that qualifies as a lips touching moment" kind of way. You know, the other way that a romantic comedy ends with. Minus the cheesy music. Or the witty one-liners. But does it end with a happy ending? Ah, now that remains to be seen.

[chucks this book at your head and screams at you to just read it]
