The Brief Wondrous Life Of Oscar Wao
by Junot Díaz
The story is good, and the characters are interesting. I found the tendency to explain things by mentioning 10 oblique references to other thing distracting at times. Those references would often send my brain off on unrelated thoughts, and then I would realize I had missed part of the book and would have to rewind. Jonathan Davis was a great narrator. There are a lot of non-English words, mostly Spanish I think, but you can usually get them from context.
