The need to read this book came after watching Michelle’s documentary on Netflix. I wanted to know more even though I’m not much into politics but still it wasn’t really about that, rather about making positive changes that matter in the long run. Being compassionate towards others no matter their backgrounds and giving them a voice.
I’ve been savoring this book since February, slowly reading it. Giving it time. I had no rush to get through it because I knew this wasn’t a light read.
This book was like a breath of fresh air. I already liked Michelle but after reading Becoming, she truly is a extraordinary lady. Every word, every phrase mattered and was inspiring, hopeful. Definitely felt like I was going through a journey with her and feeling every emotion. I enjoyed how raw it was.
Definitely one of the best books I’ve read this year. I recommend this to everyone, politics aside. A must read!!
