The Road by Cormac McCarthy

5.0

this book was phenomenal, to say the very least.
Not only is this book entrancing in its plot but also in its characters.
Cormac McCarthy has such a way with words that even in this book with zero chapters, I could not find a way to put it down.
The road is a book about a father and his son travelling south against the background of a post apocalyptic world. They face both physical and psychological questions and what is morally right.
This book had be questioning my very own ideologies: what extent would someone go to in order to survive?

The pacing is very fast due to the unusual format, but it deeply reflected the emotions and thoughts the characters had.
If you’re looking for a book that will make you feel so deeply and be so immensely overtaken by the world, then this is the book for you.
