Queenie was recommended to me as a “must read” for young professional Black women. It was and easy but difficult read as I saw a lot of myself and my friends current and past situations being reflected in different aspects of Queenie. It was a great story about about family, friends and how to lean on the ones who love you the most during hard times! I do think some of the romantic troupes regarding race were a bit low hanging, but the story was put together well!
