The perfect finish to this series without question.

Helena and Hastings have always hated each other. Or loved each other. Or loved to hate each other. Or something. But when Helena’s reputation is at stake (again) and Hastings is able to save it, he does what any man would do, and decides to wed her first and woo her later. One traumatic head injury with a side of memory loss, one charming but illegitimate child, and one pornographic story later, and what do we have? A happily ever after, of course.

I’m still on the fence about Hastings for ME but I am not on the fence about Hastings for Helena. This was a peculiarly but brilliantly plotted novel to give their fiery relationship the conclusion we all desperately needed. This series has been such an emotional journey for me and this was so darling I could hardly stand it. I thought I knew from the moment of the head injury how it would go, but Sherry always has the highest and best in mind.

Highly recommend this series if you’d like your heart ripped out (as we do) because it’s completely perfect in that way. Raw, sorrowful, and joyful in turns. I just loved it.
