As a big fan of St Mary's I wasn't sure if I'd like a book based on the Time Police, should've trusted Jodi as I absolutely LOVED IT. The 3 main characters Jane, Luke and Matthew are so likeable and read like people we'd know from down the pub. I loved how characters from St Mary's are involved with the story as well as ones from the Time Police that we've met before.
The storyline follows the Time Police and we get to watch them change from a force that went in guns blazing up and down the timeline to a more modern ask questions then deal with it. Commander Hay is still in charge and definitely not a big fan of Max and St Mary's, but with Max and Leon's son Matthew on board and his 'uncle' Ellis watching his back I'm sure she'll see her fair share of our favourite historians popping up.
