The Girl He Used to Know by Tracey Garvis Graves
5.0

Since I majored in psychology at UCF and most of my friends are psychologist, I love reading novels that consider the challenges that individuals face throughout life, especially when those individuals have a disability or impairment.

The Girl He Used to Know by Tracey Garvis Graves, is a wonderful account of how challenging life can be for someone who has to go through life with an impairment. Their life can be even more complicated and challenging when the individual is undiagnosed and posses little information on their condition. In this story the author does a wonderful job of showing how awareness and knowledge can be empowering and even liberating.

Beyond this important message, you also have a wonderful love story that shows that love is patient, love is kind, love forgives, and ultimately love can lead to healing. Annika and Jonathan are beautiful together and have a love that is pure and lasting. If you are looking for an emotionally charged yet profoundly moving love story then I highly recommend this novel.
