Honestly was gonna be an okay ish mystery with an insufferable main character, but then the twist happens that… makes literally no sense because there is NO FORSHADOWING. None.
The twist was stupid and dropped my enjoyment of it, and makes this book in retrospect, dumb. The main character at the beginning and at the end feel like two different people. . And the secondary twist was unnecessary - wow. Well. At least the main couple deserve each other .
If this was written in third person it would be better, because then it would have been easier to hid the lies the various characters tell. In first person, it makes no sense because why would they lie in the first person, without it being a letter or something??
