What da fuck was that ending. Jane you did us dirty my girl.
I do have to say one thing: Fanny Price is unmovable. She will do absolutely nothing to get what she wants but she will get it.
Henry Crawford should go to JAIL. Immediate jail. What the actual fuck do you mean that after pinning for Fanny for actual fucking months and changing for her and loving her and only having eyes for her you elope with her COUSING? With her MARRIED COUSING???? Bitch da fuck.
She avoided a fucking bullet she did. I don't agree at all that if she had accepted him earlier he would't have done this? Bitch WHAT??? men don't change and the least of all a whore like Henry Crawford.
I ended hating or not caring for every single one of the characters expect for Susan and maybe tom?
I need to say something about that horrendous putrid ugly hearted Ms. Norris. What is wrong with you???? Go to therapy???? Or maybe kill yourself? Leave everyone aLOOONNEEEEE.
Jane Austen is also fucking funny and her comedic timing is On Point. What the fuck do you mean that after Ms Norris goes to live with the cheating whore that is Mary and says: "it may be reasonably supposed that their tempers became their mutual punishment." HELLO? I was laughing out loud.
I think that Fanny and Edmund together work but it's just boring. Like uuhhh okay bye. Kinda would've preferred she ended up with the repentant and corrected Tom post fever tbh.
I absolutely loved the whole play segment, I was eating it all up!!!
This was my last Austen that I had to read and definitely not my favourite. But to defend Mansfield Park I have to say even though the infamous Austen love story is lacking in my opinion, the slow scenes of familiarity and of living in the country were so so rich and delicious that I didn't care at all that mostly nothing was happening. It was so entertaining to read about life in Mansfield Park.
A 3 star because I have really hight standards and expectations for a jane Austen but nonetheless I really enjoyed it and did not see the Mary-Henry of it all. My jaw was on the floor.
