Braiding Sweetgrass: Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge, and the Teachings of Plants
by Robin Wall Kimmerer
The writing style was very poetic and very soothing to listen to especially while I was gardening. The book did make me think and appreciate the plants around me. My main gripe with this book was that it was very repetitive, the words 'honorable harvest' and reciprocity started to grate on my nerves. The book could have been at least 150 pages shorter and still gotten it's point across. I also wish the author had used a little more thought and care when talking about other religions or in a very short passage about an attempted suicide.
