⭐⭐⭐ 3 stars
I always enjoy a Freida McFadden book, but I did find this just a little on the side of predictable, though there was one small part that I didn't predict so I'll call it a win for Freida.
That said, I found the representation of mental illness in this book to be a little lacking, but I managed to push past it for the sake of the plot and suspending reality. It was an okay read, suspenseful and fast paced with a twist at the very end that I should have seen coming but enjoyed nonetheless - I love how Freida always saves a little nugget for the very last page.
Is it my favorite Freida McFadden book? No. But I had a decent time reading it and it flew by quickly, so I'd give it a solid three stars for entertainment value and vibes alone.
