One Piece, Vol. 5: For Whom the Bell Tolls
by Eiichiro Oda
adventurous
emotional
funny
fast-paced
- The fight with the Black Cat pirates reaches its explosive conclusion!! Despite all the action of the fight, I also loved the emotional moments! I'm generally more interested in the character-driven parts, especially as there are already found family moments with the Straw Hat Crew and how Luffy immediately offers Usopp to join them 🥺 The way they supported Usopp and helped him despite not having too definitely touched me! Saying Goodbye to the village was such a touching scene, especially when it comes to Usopp and his little pirate crew!
- I did think that the fight against Captain Kuro was a bit drawn out, so I'm glad that we're moving onto a new storyline and meeting the next character ... cook Sanji! I'm already excited to see more of the Baratie, the ocean-dwelling restaurant where Sanji works and Luffy promptly gets into trouble by accidentally smashing in the roof 😂
