How to Be an Antiracist by Ibram X. Kendi

challenging hopeful informative reflective slow-paced

5.0

Sometimes I read books on racism and understand the targeted audience is ⚪️ people. This was an exception. This book is for anyone regardless of race who wants to start a journey to be anti racist. Kendi does an exceptional job going over the various types of racism while examining his own through autobiography. This book will definitely make you think. He challenges your ideas and offers alternate pathways. There were times that I needed to pause so I could process and assess and see how I could change. It’s not an easy book to get through but an important one. I want others to read it and see the various ways our society, policies, and structures uphold racism. Overall, a solid book. Would recommend. Take your time though.
