Honestly did not want to read/listen to this book. I wanted winter or beau’s book next, but I was pleasantly surprised. The writing style was unexpected but did a really good job of conveying grief in real time, how there can be bright spots, and how it can weigh on you. It was two people making the best of shitty situations and it felt realistic.
The third act break up always frustrates me, but I was annoyed in this book because once again the whole issue is that they don’t communicate. I didn’t understand sloane’s crash out in the car, but after boozy brunch I actually thought she was so valid.
This is all to say that I enjoyed the book and as usual the ending was extremely rushed and annoyed me but it was funny all the way through.
