Hour of the Bees by Lindsay Eagar

Did not finish book.

I am seriously baffled - how can this book have this many great reviews and such a high rating. I thought the writing was not good, the plot was super generic and the pacing incredibly slow. I couldn't even get through the first part but I read some spoiler reviews and learned what happens next and even that was mediocre at best.

In summary, not my cup of tea.
