After trying to push myself through some less-enjoyable books, Stacey Hall's Mrs England was refreshingly easy to sink into. The narrative is easy to follow, and the protagonist Ruby is relatably a little awkward around adults and focused on her work. It's quickly revealed that there is more to the England family than Ruby expected, and the reader is taken through twists and turns as you try to decipher which characters to trust. Without revealing any spoilers, the ending is satisfying and the book as a whole is well worth a read.
