definitely liked this book so much more than GALCB, and while TAHDB will always be my favorite, this book had a different feel. I think that it touched on something more personal and it really helps define and educate people on what it means to be autistic in this world. Honestly, it's more than that-- it battles how to feel NORMAL in this world and how while people in society love to advocate for positivity and to just 'ignore the feeling' it is still a feeling that will always be there. I think the banter (and the...spice..yeah) was my favorite out of all the three books and just in general. The only critique I find is that this book told a lot more than it showed. Eve has a fear of failure and while that was named a lot, it wasn't illustrated. Partly the same can be applied to Jacob. While it's clear he has some form of anxiety or trauma of being 'too much' for the world, I found that explained rather than shown to its full potential, especially considering his past. Something I think TAHDB did well showed those fears between Zafir and Dani, making it feel more real and giving more to their dynamic as a couple. However, I think this book was great overall and I still managed to cry at the end like a baby. I also think that Jacob's past and the epilogue could have been stronger, but that's just me.
