Some of the stories really stuck with me and had me thinking about them after putting down the book for the day. I haven't read something in a while that has lead me to be that reflective and it was a pleasant surprise. Some of the stories are heavy and heartbreaking while others seem to be more hopeful. I really appreciate the authors ability to weave such different pasts/stories together in a way that still flowed and touched on broader themes throughout.
