The Girl in the Spider's Web
by David Lagercrantz
It was easy to dive into this story and enjoy the familiar characters and setting, but it is not a perfect follow up to Steig's trilogy, although I still enjoyed it. There is a lot of point-of-view swapping with an expanded cast of characters which keeps the reader a little more distant from Blomkvist and Salander, and because of that there is more dramatic irony than actual reader mystery so the end result has a slightly different feel to it. Still enjoyed it, and if that one unresolved thread leads into a sequel I will buy it with vigor.
