I Am Not Starfire by Mariko Tamaki
3.0
It’s hard being the daughter of Starfire, especially when you don’t have powers and you feel like the antithesis of everything she is. It’s especially hard as a teenager trying to figure out what you want to do after HS, and trying to navigate crushes and school projects. But when someone from Starfire’s past has come to Earth threatening everything she holds dear, Mandy will find she’s more than she thinks she is.
This was a fun little YA coming-of-age super hero story. And it was nice seeing a comic book protagonist who isn’t skinny. But overall, it’s just OK.
