Well, that was a long read!
I did enjoy - a very convoluted murder mystery with many twists and turns and many side characters involved.
It is of a time and place, 1950’s social mores were so different, and WW2 still a recent memory and lots of trading on who did what in the war happened here. The old boys network.
Some truly nefarious people too as well as the lovable rogues.
Clyde is a bit gung ho, going into situations perhaps best left alone.
His on/off romance with Sam is of the time too, when men had to find time and place to be discreet - or maybe not so much!!! Many tales of out there behaviour by the community and even Clyde got quite corny and clichéd at times with both Harry and Sam.
I would get another book about Clyde, but hope that some cut back may occur, as I did feel at times there were too many side characters to keep track of.
