really drew me in and kept me wanting more every time i picked it up, and the mixture of characters i’d come to love with new pov chapters created a perfect balance. as an ending to a trilogy i think it wrapped up a lot of character’s arcs satisfyingly and i think it sought to add a lot of context without actually ‘explaining’ a lot, which is all i could ever ask for in this cosmic horror scifi where i don’t want to know exactly how or why area x works.

it’s hard to keep my thoughts concise…these books are not perfect but man i loved this trilogy about grief and trauma and transformation and nature and family and aliens :,)
