Like many celebrity stories, the writing is plain. However, that is to no fault of the genre. This memoir is heartfelt and a plea to readers to understand just how difficult it is living with addiction. The raw reflection woven throughout the memoir is quite sad knowing what happened to Matthew Perry in 2023.
