mickie4280 's review for:
Boy on a Train
by Leslie McAdam
I received a free ARC from Goodreads New Adult Book Club for the promise of an honest review.
Audrey and Tate are best friends that have harbored a crush on each other. They had planned their lives to go to college in NYC after their high school graduation. Tate finally acts on his attraction and kisses Audrey. Things couldn't be better until Audrey's parents ask her to defer they first year of college because her mom has been diagnosed with MS. Audrey hides this from Tate. Audrey feels stuck. She wants to stay and help her parents but she also wants to go with Tate.
This book was a fast and easy read. There was no really depth to the story. I didn't feel the emotional turmoil that Audrey was facing. I couldn't relate to the characters that much because there was depth to them.
