I had no idea what to expect from this book, all I hoped was it lived up to the hype. I can confirm, it does. I absolutely was all in from the get go. The story, the characters, had me hooked from the start. I did find the fmc slightly annoying throughout, but I still liked her. It had me guessing the whole way though, and although I guessed part of the ending, I still got some surprises.
It had suspense,  tension, intrigue and the slightest touch of romance. I felt like I was the detective along with the fmc Pip and her partner in crime Ravi. I was theorising along with them, with twists and turns along the way.
It was brilliantly written and I can not wait to read book 2.
