Hollow City by Ransom Riggs

Do you ever realize that you should've seen something coming, but you were so excited for something good to happen that, in the end, you didn't see it coming? That is what happened to me. And I am pained.

As much as I adored this book, I need to give it a lower rating just for pacing. The entire book was all for one thing, which then left a cliffhanger. The other things they did didn't seem to have much affect on the plot, either. They were nice stories, though.

I also love how at one point Millard got all deep and realistic about how time traveling works, and how people will inevitably die because history will heal itself. Then Enoch's just like, "That's why you can't kill baby Hitler!" Good job, my friends.

I still can't wait to read the next book.
