The Charmed Life of Alex Moore by Molly Flatt

4.0

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️The Charmed Life of Alex Moore by Molly Flatt
I seem to be stuck in a real 4 star rating rut at the moment! The books I have been reading have been good but not quite enough to blow me away and get a coveted 5 stars. This book was another 4 star for me. Engaging and fast paced with enough to keep me reading all 450 or so pages in a relatively quick timescale; ‘The Charmed Life of Alex Moore’ is not something I would’ve picked up for myself normally but as it was a @readinginheelsuk book and has been thoroughly raved about by @what.heather.loves I thought I’d give it a go. With this one I would say expect the unexpected! About a third of the way through it all gets rather sci-fi which I thought I would hate but actually rather enjoyed! It was nice to read something different and I thought the sci-fi element was dealt with incredibly well.
My one downside, and the reason it didn’t get a full five stars, was at times I just wanted to author to get to the point and it felt overdone and drawn out in places where it didn’t need to be.
Overall though this was an enjoyable read and one that is worth checking out if you fancy something a bit different!
