Invincible, Vol. 16: Family Ties by Robert Kirkman

4.0

I appreciate that the book maintains sort of an overarching narrative, along with a bunch of side stories and plots...and that the creators keep the work consistent. The artwork is always fun to look at. There is a point where Allen and Invincible's dad decide to start beating the crap out of each other when there is much more they could talk out...but I guess that would have messed up later developments...maybe. Everybody is a little too quick to act throughout much of the story here, which, of course, leads to further complications that need to be resolved, weird alliances springing up, etc. Still pretty fun, and some pretty cringe-worthy injuries in all the fights--particularly with Dinosaurus. Ouch.
