A fantastic read following the life on Tara Westover growing up in the mountains of Idaho with her Mormon family. Her father is a staunch critic (and quite frankly, a conspiracy theorist) of schools/education, modern medicine and the government. There are points of this story that are so hard to read, but Tara is so honest and raw in her storytelling. Not only focusing on what happened to her, but also the role she plays. It's a fascinating story of her escaping this life, and I recommend the read!
