It pains me to give only two stars to a Faye Kellerman book, but this one...I just...sigh. It's a mess.
I'm not a prude by any means but (as others have mentioned) the sexual details between young teenagers here made me extremely uncomfortable - to the point where it distracted me from the story, and the story had enough problems on its own.
I also don't really understand how Decker and Rina appear so little. It's their series! Shouldn't at least half of it be about them? And what's up with the terrible editing, HarperCollins? I caught at least six misspellings and/or omitted words in roughly 300 pages of material. Like I said, a mess.
