You guys...

I LOVED THIS BOOK!

Ok, so I joined a reading challenge and this month, for pride, we were asked to read things from the LGBTQ genre. So I wandered into the genres here and looked for some books and picked 4. This was my top choice as I LOVE murder mysteries.

Oh my gosh am I glad I read this book!!! These characters are some of my all time favorites.

Will and Scott are quick witted, snarky, and so completely lovable in every way. They are both fighting to hide who they are from everyone around them. They get pulled into an undercover mission that threatens to shove who they are to the front and it scares them both. Seriously, they are so relatable it’s ridiculous. I adore them both so much!!!

Julie and Grace are the best friends you only wish you had. They tease and torment their partners but it’s all in love and in trying to help them grow.

Then you meet the community of Laurel Heights.

Todd is the sweetest most shy and adorable young man you’ll ever meet but his self esteem is so low and all I want to do is hug him.

Marcus is calm and peaceful. Someone you instantly feel good around. You just feel he’s a safe haven.

Brent is forceful and gruff. He has a way of putting people off with his extroverted tendencies.

Cal, Damon, Jay, Erik, and David aren’t as pronounced in the book though you see bits and pieces and what you see just makes you love the entire community.

This book keeps you guessing from one page to the next. You think you know but then a new hint comes that makes you question your previous thoughts and reasons. It’s great!!!

My heart breaks for these characters. From hiding who they are, to being abused, to losing love, and feeling betrayed. I haven’t read a book this fast in a while. I can not recommend it more than I have.
