This was a book that reminded me of a hug. This was a cozy little fantasy that reminded me of a job I had at a bakery that was also a coffee shop. It was nostalgic and sweet. I enjoyed the characters depths for it being a lower stakes book. It reminds me of "Under the Whispering Door," in a small way so if you like this one I would recommend that. I can't wait to read the second one.
