Idk why but it really irks me about writing of a friendship with Stephen King and name dropping both him and his works multiple times in the book.
The other line that sent me is when he says that he’s always been afraid of crying women. Dude it’s fiction; you could’ve written yourself to not be so… conceited and borderline obnoxious? Idk. Maybe it’s the way the narrator reads him but when I told Ryan the character’s name is the same as the author, Richard Chizmar, he dubbed him “Dick Cheese” and it felt fitting lmaoooo
